I am an experienced web-designer, with sound knowledge of creating accessible and standards based websites utilising XHTML & CSS which display consistently across all major browsers. This is further enhanced where appropriate by utilising javascript to create Web 2.0 interfaces which improve the responsiveness of your website.

Linux / Apache / MySQL / PHP

Extensive experience in the use of PHP server-side scripting to generate dynamic content in the form of text, data and graphics.

Retrieval and storage of transaction information from/to MySQL or other databases for storage of site and visitor information, which includes discussion boards and e-commerce information.

Configuring and tuning Apache to deliver web pages fast and effectively.

Unix maintenance and tuning, to get the tools you need to deliver your website installed and working optimally.

Data Analysis / Database Design

Extensive knowledge in the analysis of business data and processes to derive database designs (normalisation), implemented on top of MySQL.

Ruby Rails
