Towans Timberframe (TTF) commissioned freshsauce to build a website for them to advertise their timberframing, carpentry, design and project management services via a magazine style layout.
The design uses non-standard fonts to create the specific magazine style TTF wanted, this meant serving up both the visual content and an altrnative in-page set of content for search engines and accessibility.
A fully managed gallery was created, allowing TTF to create albums and upload portfolio photos, with all resizing and thumbnailing done on the website, rather than requiring any pre-upload manipulation.
The public side of the gallery uses javascript and ajax to provide rapid navigation around each album without the need for page reloads. However should javascript not be enabled on the end users browser the gallery degrades gracefully still functioning correctly but just reloading each page per photo/album viewed.
