Slide65's website utilises a custom CMS allowing them to maintain all aspects of the site themselves. Rather than force them to presize images, the CMS resizes any photos to the correct size for the client allowing them to focus on the content and not the technical aspects.
The site also uses a little javascript and ajax to overlay additional information when required without cluttering up the initial display.
The Image gallery allows cursor key navigation, as well as clicking on thumbnails, with the main image moving to align next to the thumbnail being viewed so the user doesn't have to scroll up and down themselves.
